About Our Quality

When it comes to installing garage doors, we partner only with the most reputable manufacturers to ensure that our customers are getting the best of the best. Our doors will come with a high quality steel construction. Our partnered manufacturers such as C.H.I. Overhead Door, DoorLink, and Amarr are known for their extreme beauty, longevity, and durability that make them stand the test of time.

Top Quality Hardware

Aside from the door itself, the quality of all of the moving parts is crucial in its functioning and longevity. All of the hardware will be commercial grade: high lifecycle torsion springs, steel ball bearing rollers with a nylon coating for smooth/quiet operation, oversized hinges, commercial grade drums, pulleys, cables, tracking, etc. The quality of our doors will be very different than a typical builder’s grade door.

Let’s Get Started!

Prefer to have someone come out?

1: Determine Size and Quantity

The first step is to determine the size of your door. Most often, a one car garage door will be 8x7, and a two car garage door will be 16x7. The sizes may vary, however, so it is important to take a tape measure to the frame of the door. Before the door is ordered, we will always send a technician to the home to do final measurements.

2: Level of Insulation

What insulation level is best for your home and budget? Are you looking for temperature control or a thicker/sturdier door? While we have more options upon special request, below are our three most common door construction types to choose from:

1 Layer Non-Insulated Garage Door

Non-insulated: One-Layer

This door is one layer of steel, no insulation, most cost effective option. Less common option for homeowners as it does not provide any temperature control.

2-Layer Insulated Garage Door

Insulated: Two-Layer

One layer of steel with a thick layer of insulation behind (interior of door) covered by a vinyl backing for protection. Slightly more cost effective than the three-layer but does not have as high an insulation factor (r-value) and will be more prone to knicks and scratches than the steel back.

3 Layer Insulated Garage Door

Insulated: Three-Layer (Recommended)

This is our top pick and our top seller! With insulation sandwiched between two premium layers of steel, it offers both a very solid construction and the highest insulation factor of the three types. Whether you are looking to keep your garage temperature controlled or not, this is an excellent choice for durability.

It is important to note that and insulated garage door is meant to compliment a garage that is already insulated for temperature control. If the garage is not insulated, it will loose heat/ac in areas aside from the door.

While this door is generally more than enough for insulation, we do offer very highly insulated doors for those that want to go the extra step.

3: Style, Color

Now comes the fun! We have a wide variety of choices from classic styles with a solid color to beautifully crafted faux wood carriage house designs. Below are our most common garage door styles, but if there is something you specifically have in mind, reach out to our staff today and we’ll work to build the door you’re looking for!

5: Automatic Door Opener?

Should you replace your garage door opener at the same time as purchasing a new door? We’re here to help with that question! If you choose to keep your existing opener, no problem!

Reasons to replace:

  1. You are purchasing a door that is much heavier than your current door and you need a stronger opener.

  2. Your current opener is near the end of its life-cycle

  3. You are looking to upgrade because of advanced technological features, noise reduction, or new safety features.
